Usage Scenarios
The benefits of virtual events can be achieved in a variety of different usage scenarios, for instance virtual career fairs and virtual sales events (also known as virtual roadshow or virtual customer events). Companies which rely on partners also use virtual partner events to inform about new products and solutions. Another very common usage scenario are virtual corporate events for large, often international companies. Here are some examples of usage scenarios with links to customer references:
Virtual Customer Day
Virtual events can be used for lead generation and to inform existing customers about new products and services. You can not only broadcast information via videocasts, audiocasts and slidecasts, but also interact with your customers in 1:1 chats or in group discussions. Have a look at the following success story we have published with Microsoft to show how they used our event platform for successfully realizing a virtual customer event: Microsoft Germany takes new paths with virtual customer event.
Virtual Corporate Event
There are numerous examples for this type of event: internal kick off events or internal R&D conferences are two very prominent ones. These events are usually used to share a, in many cases confidential, body of knowledge across employees, wherever they may be located. They can also help to get an organization committed to shared values and to support networking among employees. Here is one example of such an event we have realized for one of our customers: The first virtual software event at SAP.
Virtual Training Sessions
The reach of trainings can be dramatically enhanced if you use our virtual event platform to broadcast training sessions to a distributed audience. Interaction is key for transfering training concepts into the virtual world. This is supported by the ubivent platform through its interactive features, e.g. audio broadcasting for live Q&A. The following report shows you how we could successfully implement such a virtual training concept for the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce: Virtuelle Schulungen der IHK Rhein-Neckar (in German).
Virtual Career Fair
Virtual events make sense whenever you would like to inform participants from different geographic locations. Virtual job fairs are a common use case since participants are able to join such a conference from all over the world. So companys do not need to organize events multiple times to address different regions. Here is an example of a public fair where Germany's leading business school relied on ubivent to interact directly with prospective students across Europe and beyond: Virtueller Studientag der Universität Mannheim (in German).
